OUR STORY
HEY THERE!
We’re Zach & Mikayla, the husband-and-wife team behind This Means Everything Photography.
At the end of 2023, we started this business with a prayer and a vision, asking God to guide every step of our journey and every couple and family who would step in front of our camera.
What began as a love for photography quickly became something much more. We realized we weren’t simply taking pictures—we were preserving the people, emotions, and moments that mean everything.
Zach is your lead photographer, capturing every meaningful moment with intention and care. Mikayla is right by his side at every wedding as your dedicated wedding-day assistant, helping with timelines, dresses, veils, bouquets, and all the little details that allow your day to flow seamlessly.
Together, our goal is to create an experience where you feel cared for, comfortable, and completely yourself—while creating photographs you’ll cherish for generations.

A LITTLE ABOUT OUR WEDDING DAY
(AND WHY IT SHAPED EVERYTHING)
When we were planning our own wedding, we were certain about one thing—we didn’t want a first look. We wanted the first time we saw each other to be as I walked down the aisle.
Then our photographer encouraged us to consider something different. She explained that a first look wouldn’t take away from that moment. Instead, it would give us a few quiet minutes together before the day began moving faster than we could take it all in.
We hesitated, but we trusted her.
And we’re so thankful we did.
Our first look became one of the most meaningful parts of our wedding day. Away from everyone else, we laughed, cried, prayed, and simply took in the fact that we were about to get married.
Those photographs are still some of our favorites—not because they’re perfect, but because when we look at them, we remember exactly how that moment felt.
That experience shaped the way we photograph weddings today. We learned that some of the most meaningful moments aren’t the ones you plan.
The quiet glance. The happy tears. The squeeze of a hand. The deep breath before walking down the aisle. The laughter you never saw coming.
Those are the moments we look for. Those are the moments we preserve.

Mikayla enjoys crocheting and creating things by hand, while Zach loves music and serves as a dialysis technician, a role that has given him an even deeper appreciation for how precious every season of life truly is.
Together, we also serve as worship leaders at our church, where our faith continues to shape the way we love, serve, and care for others.
